Actually, as a sufferer of patellar instability and achilles tendonitis that has seen several doctors due to injuries, a couple of these are wrong. If you are prone to a particular injury (knee, for example) you should NEVER run through pain, even minor pain. Endorphins released during a run dull pain and you may not feel the extent of the damage until later. I ran through "minor" heel pain once and almost tore my achilles. 6 months later I am still trying to come back from this injury and only up to running a couple of miles at a shot and I can't run two days in a row; I need to rest between. Don't be stupid - moderate discomfort is good, pain is always bad.

Also, my podiatrist treating me for the achilles problems said that running on a treadmill is the worst thing you can do because it forces you to change your natural stride and can lead to all types of problems.

I often do my sports exercise through running or cycling for 30 minutes, I known that is not enough for fitness,so i want to follow experts' advice.

when you run, youre supposed to land on the middle of your feet not the heel. when you do land on your hell, you're likely to experience injuries and it puts a lot of compression on your muscles. Let gravity pull you down and you shuld prounce up once your toes hit the ground.

I have just started running - I have been walking just over 6km's in 1 hour, and now run for 20 min (I get about 3km's) and then I walk for another 40 min. What is the best exercise for making my body physically stronger? Running or walking?

I love to run, but shin-splints are my downfall. Hard surfaces and treadmills put me in allot of pain. Unfortunately when the weather is bad I don't get to run.

This quiz is pretty good. If the answer chosen was not the best answer, it explained what is the best answer and why, and how to do it. And if you did choose the best answer, it explained why. I liked it.

Well...I know my score is lower than it should be, but that's because I know I need new shoes (they are pricey) and a few things I knew I should do, but don't to follow my own rules! Great quiz though, I have been running religiously for a year in May and I feel pretty skilled after taking this!!

This quiz doesn't need to be just applied to running, it can be applied to the weight training, that you do in and out of the gym. I am not a runner by any strech of the imagination but I ask myself these questions when I'm doing my weight training in the gym.
keeping an eye out for things that my body is doing diffferently-making sure my kicks are brand new (could be for other reasons) and always changing up how and where I do my exercies.

I like this Quiz. Although I had 5 wrong, I had 6 correct which isn't too, too bad. I learned some things like landing landing on my heels not my toes.
